The all new ETG Workholding web site has over 100,000 individual products for sale covering the spectrum from collets and workholding accessories to precision engineering equipment such as probing and quality control products as well as everyday consumables from leading brands.

In addition, now being located in the same Coventry premises as the Hyfore Engineering design and engineering facilities, ETG Workholding offers a comprehensive bespoke workholding and prototype manufacturing capability all from a single source.

Hyfore has specialist expertise in the design and manufacture of high quality, bespoke work holding systems for metal cutting, welding and assembly applications. This includes cubes and tombstone fixtures with hydraulic, pneumatic, vacuum and manual clamping, zero point fixtures for rapid changeovers and retrofit NC axes.

Additional capabilities include the design and manufacture of bespoke special purpose machines for the assembly of mechanical components such as bearings, bushes, pins and mechanical seals.

Hyfore can fill that void, offering high levels of added value to any machine tool supplier.  Its precision manufacturing capabilities are in line with accredited standards and include the production of jigs, fixtures, gauges, hydraulic and electric rotary devices, hydraulic work holding systems, special purpose machines and turnkey packages.

It also offers a bespoke capability for design and manufacture of equipment such as fixture plates, trunnions and other aspects of tooling – and with very competitive pricing and turnarounds. Hyfore’s workholding know-how is complemented by a bespoke prototyping, low-volume manufacturing and a component verification service.

ETG Workholding’s expertise is based on the proven ‘ShopHardinge’ model. When ETG took over the sales, service and customer support agreement for Bridgeport and Hardinge machine tools some two years ago it acquired the UK sales operation known as ‘ShopHardinge’ – effectively an on-line shop for Hardinge toolholders and a range of third party products.

Now, ETG Workholding has expanded the inventory, offering many thousands of products not just from Hardinge but also a growing number of specialist suppliers in its web based catalogue.

“It’s a very positive move” explains ETG Workholding Manager Rob Beckett. “In effect it means we can significantly broaden the scope of ETG Workholding towards machine tool manufacturers and users beyond Hardinge.  Some may have thought that previously we only supplied to Hardinge and Bridgeport users – not actually the case. Now with the ‘ETG Workholding’ we can address a much wider audience.
