A new introduction to the growing family of Quaser vertical machining centres available from the Engineering Technology Group is the MV 234, to date the largest capacity Quaser VMC available in the UK.
With an X axis travel of 2040mm the machine has an overall table dimension of 2210 x 762 making it ideal for machine shops specialising in large mould and die manufacture or in environments where a pallet machining centre is required.
The table has a load capacity of 2000kg with a generous Y-axis travel of 762mmm and Z-axis of 661mm.
The MV 234 features the unique Quaser spindle greasing system that in one installation can support 30,000 hours of machining and can also be replenished via an integral reservoir.
It can be supplied with a 40 or 50 taper spindle options with controls by Fanuc, Siemens or Heidenhain. Tool magazine capacities are 48/60 (40 taper) or 30/40 (50 taper) with through coolant standard at 20 bar - upgradeable to 50 bar.
A range of options are available for the machine – for example an ATC door, linear encoder, spindle oil chiller and work probes.
The machine is available from stock.
